An Evening Born Out of a Michelangelo Painting

Every detail of this unforgettable evening drew inspiration from the Italian Renaissance. From the custom-engraved paintbrush place cards to Bastien’s ice cream sculpted as iconic Renaissance statues. The evening was defined by premier design, elevated entertainment, and a narrative approach that underscored the caliber of our event production services.

Italian Renaissance Grandeur in Every Detail

Inspired by the grandeur of the Italian Renaissance, our event production services brought this vision to life with lush florals and custom décor elements by Larry Walshe Studios & Carissimo Letterpress. Larry Walshe Studios created custom linens featuring Renaissance-style paintings and pillows, layered on an elegant tabletop that culminated with Dior’s white-and-gold Bee dinner plate. 

As guests’ eyes were drawn overhead, they were met with dramatic bespoke ceiling fresco tapestries by Carissimo Letterpress that enveloped the space. Custom paintbrush place cards and silver mirrored coasters reflected the artwork from above, creating a completely immersive experience from every angle.

Music of the Italian Renaissance

Bastien’s dessert course continued the evening’s artistic narrative with surprise, handcrafted ice cream served in sculptural cones inspired by iconic Italian statues, including that of Michelangelo’s David. The guests were amazed and deeply amused to be holding and consuming such iconic works of art.

As dinner drew to a close, the guests were met with a surprise serenade by three tenors from ALR Music performing classic Italian arias in an intimate concert. The serenade culminated in a rendition of “Happy Birthday” where the guest of honor was presented with a stunning cake inspired by Italian Renaissance columns, which were classical architectural elements that revived ancient Greek and Roman designs. 

Dancing Beneath the Stars

Soon after dessert, guests were invited into the Secret Garden, where a 19-piece band from ALR Music performed on a custom stage inspired by ancient Roman ruins and including a rendition of Michelangelo’s Venus de Milo in the center. The intention was for it look as though it had always been there and the vision was executed flawlessly.

As the music echoed through the Tuscan hills and guests danced under the stars, time disappeared as the boundaries between history and the present faded, leaving the guest of honor with memories as enduring as the Renaissance itself.
