The Perfect Start to a Milestone Birthday Celebration

A core element of our experiential event planning is designing moments that ground guests in their destination. To set an elevated tone for the weekend’s first gathering, we designed an intimate al fresco lunch focused on the refined simplicity of the Tuscan countryside. The lunch was hosted at the stunning Borgo Santo Pietro; the tables were set outdoors, completely framed by the panoramic Tuscan hills and vineyards.

Lunch With a View

Rather than competing with the captivating countryside, our design choices were made to complement it. The venue’s culinary team executed a curated seasonal menu and their on premise floral designers gathered organic florals inspired by and picked directly from the property’s grounds, which included luscious lavender bouquets as the focal points of the tablescape. To complete the elegant aesthetic, the tables featured gorgeous crockery by Maison Margaux and pottery by Preludio Divisione Noleggio that accented the bespoke stationery from Carissimo Letterpress and linens from Summerill Bishop. The result was a seamless blend of exceptional cuisine and breathtaking views.

Bread and Place Cards

Place cards created by Carissimo Letterpress awaited the guests in individual mini panetto at each place setting. This unique touch helped set an inviting atmosphere for guests upon arrival to Tuscany and Borgo Santo Pietro, while celebrating the cuisine of the region and the Borgo’s philosophy of farm to table dining. 

An Opportunity to Slow Down

The wine kept flowing, the plates kept coming, and the guests settled into a true Italian pace for the weekend to come. Fresh-cut lavender from that morning was a focal point of the table settings, and by the time lunch wound down, the whole table smelled like it. That’s the kind of afternoon this was: long, unhurried, and a perfect example of why experiential event planning is so impactful when traveling to the Tuscan countryside

Why This Lunch Set the Mood for Experiential Event Planning

Not every moment of a celebration requires large gestures. This lunch worked by allowing the rolling hills of the countryside, seasonal cuisine, and engaging company to define the experience. As the lunch came to a close, the guests were effortlessly attuned to the weekend’s elevated rhythm and sense of place.
