Elevated Verdant Summer Kick-Off in the Tennessee Foothills

 

Planning an event at Blackberry Farm has been on our bucket list, and this elevated rustic summer kick-off did not disappoint. Blackberry Farm is known for its exceptional hospitality standards and top-tier experience, making it the perfect location for a Memorial Day private dinner party and concert.

Set in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, Blackberry Farm was named #1 by Food and Wine as the best hotel for food and drink in the United States. Its 4,200-acre property and legendary reputation made it the perfect location for a private dinner party and concert.

We wanted to create something unique, unlike anything we had seen before at Blackberry Farm. We took the vibrancy of summer and incorporated an elevated rustic environment with verdant tablescapes. The dress code for the evening was “Boots Encouraged,” and helped blend the farm-to-table experience with a luxury culinary experience for the guests.

Luxury Farm-to-Table Experience

The evening took place at Bramble Hall, named after the blackberry bush, a summer fruit. We subtly drew inspiration from the venue’s name and seasonal essence when designing the event details.

Die-cut blackberries were used in the place cards and table settings, while the evening cocktail featured a Blackberry Bramble. Iconic monogrammed Blackberry Farm napkins were also incorporated during the cocktail hour.

The tablescapes were truly stunning, with lush greenery arranged amidst white and green botanical elements. The combination of vibrant foliage and delicate flatware created a beautiful and inviting setting.

Dinner and Private Concert 

The evening’s celebration of the summer kick-off focused on seasonality, with a menu inspired by a vibrant summer BBQ, elevated with fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. All the dishes for the evening were served family-style, encouraging guests to pass them around the table. Wine pairings were served with each course, which highlighted the amazing wine collection at Blackberry Farm.  

After dinner, the concert venue was revealed to the guests, where an intimate living room setting created the perfect ambiance for the rare and exclusive duo performance by Radney Foster and William Beckmann. Radney’s mentorship and collaboration with rising star William was evident in their captivating performance. The evening was filled with swapped songs, storytelling, and audience interaction, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Blackberry Farm, making it the perfect kick-off to summer.

The concert lingered into the evening hours, allowing guests to savor every moment of this exceptional collaboration. As the evening came to an end, the guests were sent off with Joe Malone’s Wild Berry & Bramble Townhouse Candles as their takeaway gifts to remember their magical evening at Blackberry Farm.
